Privacy Data Systems created a custom version of its SenditCertified technology for Smiles over Miles. This USO-specific version includes the ability to easily record a video message, send it privately and play it back on any computer connected to the Internet.

The Goal of the Program

The goal of the program is to give all deployed military service members the opportunity to have a free SenditCertified account, compliments of location sponsors. Equipped with a sponsor card obtained at a USO center that coordinates with the Family Readiness Group, the service member gains instant access to the SenditCertified secure communications platform. He or she can then easily record and send video or audio messages to loved ones at home, in addition to photos and regular text - all with just a regular web browser. The service is free to sponsored service members, private, and much simpler to use than most video and file sharing sites. Military service members can also send and receive confidential documents with complete security.

With features to forward, cc, format, and manage messages, SenditCertified is as versatile and easy to use as any regular web email system. It is based on the concept of an ePackage™. That is an AES 256-bit encrypted and NIST FIPS-140-2 compliant message containing text, audio, and/or video with up to 10 attachments of virtually any size. AES 256-bit is the strongest form of encryption in widespread use today.
